I guess the first thing to figure out about this beer, Bayou Teche Courir de Mardi Gras Biere de Mars, is whom actually brews it. It would appear to me that it is distributed to Bayou Teche Beer in Louisiana, but made at Lazy Magnolia in Mississippi. Neither mentions it on their website. A contract brew, if you will. Interesting I should try this one today, as i just read an enlightening article from The Beer Wench on what contract brewing actually is. Check that out here.
Poured with overwhelming carbonation. Actually took two pours to get the 12 oz bottle into a 16 oz glass. Clean white and fluffy head. Looks cloudy and light yellow. In fact, at first glance it looks like a hefe. Citrus sweetness and some grassiness in the aroma. The flavor is lead by sweet and slightly toasted malt, herbs, touch of grassy biterness from the hops. Banana in the finish, too.
Interesting flavors and really smooth. Worth a shot.
